Q. How can I pay for my workshop?

A. You can pay by credit card right on the website; just go to Workshops and click on Register.  If your company would prefer to issue a purchase order or make arrangements to pay by check, please contact us directly at 770-598-1205 or use our easy contact form.

Q. Can I receive NPDP certification without taking a course?

A. You can prepare for the examination yourself, but you should expect to devote 40 to 60 hours of personal study and reading time.

Q.  How should I dress when I attend the workshop?

A. Dress for all workshops is business casual.

Q. How long does the workshop last?

A. Our two-day workshops  begin at 8 am and continue until 4 pm.  Continental breakfast and lunch are included both days. 

Our BootCamps are more intense. You'll start learning the first night over dinner, from 5:30 to 8 pm.  Then, classes run from 8:30 to 4:30 each day, with study groups and practice testing from 6:30 to 8:00 pm each evening.

Q. How should I prepare for the workshop?

A. There is no pre-work required for this workshop, although we will ask you to complete a brief assessment, so that our instructor understands your level of expertise.  The PDMA website recommends a long list of books for reading, but we recommend three specific books:

Cooper, Robert G., Winning at New Products: Accelerating the Process from Idea to Launch, 3rd ed. Reading, MA: Perseus Books.
Crawford, C. Merle and Anthony DiBenedetto,* - New Products Management. 7th Edition. 
Wheelwright, S. C. and K. B. Clark, Revolutionizing Product Development .  New York: Free Press.
You will not need the textbooks during the workshop, but they could prove helpful to you if you seek NPDP certification. 

You may acquire the texts on your own, or purchase them through NP Learning.

Q. If I have to travel to get to the workshop, when should I fly in?

A. We recommend flying in the night before the 2-day workshop begins, because we'll start at 8am sharp the next day.  If you are attending the BootCamp Certification Intensive, it's best to arrive around noon, to give yourself plenty of time to get settled and be ready to start at 5:30 pm.

For the two-day workshop, plan for a full day of class on the second day, and choose a flight accordingly.  For the BootCamp, plan to sit for the exam on Friday and make your travel plans to accommodate your exam time.

Q.  I'm really interested in certification. Is it automatic when I pass the exam?

A.  If you intend to pursue certification, you must register with PDMA. Go to the PDMA website  to register.

Q.  Can my company take advantage of the same training offered in the 2-day workshops?
